About the role

As a Relationship Manager you will be responsible for prospecting, activating and maintaining partnerships between referral partners (Brokers, Accountants, Vendors etc.) and Valiant. As you progress in this role you will grow and manage a portfolio of highly engaged referral partners who will use Valiant as their go-to partner for providing commercial finance to their own customers. You'll play a pivotal role in our success by engaging with our Partners to drive deal volume and position Valiant as the trusted partner for all business and commercial finance solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively outreach inactive Valiant Partners via multiple communication channels such as Phone, SMS, Email, Video Call
  • Build trusted relationships with referral partners to ensure regular and repeat use of Valiant's services for their customers
  • Work with the sales team to ensure the highest level of attention is given to deals referred by Valiant's partners
  • Provide training, demos and guidance of Valiant's product offering and tools to upskill partners to do commercial finance transactions themselves, integrating Valiant's offering into their day to day work
  • Generate, and help facilitate, new business enquiries coming from Valiant's Partners to maximise completion and output
  • Keep up to date with industry and product knowledge to ensure you are providing partners and customers with accurate and applicable information

The ideal candidate:

  • 2+ years of sales and relationship management skills
  • Is driven, motivated and isn't afraid to get stuck in and GSD
  • Commercial and business credit experience which enables you to provide feedback on live deal scenarios (working capital, asset finance, commercial and development)
  • Exceptional communication skills with a natural ability to build trust and rapport
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
